Music Education

The Foundation seeks to partner with music education programs that provide access to the greatest number of students possible, eliminate barriers to music instruction, are taught by well-trained educators, and support students that have been systemically under-resourced.

Our primary partner in providing access to students in public schools is Education Through Music. Started in New York, this program now takes place in Los Angeles, Denver, and Boston and together the programs support over 100 teachers in more than 120 schools across the country.

Additionally, the Foundation invests in programs which prioritize program evaluation, provide professional development, and advocate for music education for all young people.

As an extension of its 2020 Relief Fund for Music Education Programs, the Foundation has invited select organizations to apply for funding in 2021.  For those organizations who have received an invitation and access code, you may use the link below to access the application portal.
